Removal of Joannes baby dress

I removed Joannes Baby dress Pattrn because it was a COPYRIGHTED pattern. I asked for NO one to sell this dress and I put the pattern up in honor of Joanne who was a very close, dear friend who passed away, but when I got on Ebay this evening and seen a lady from NC selling the finished product it just went all thru me!! Apparently copyright means nothing to people! In honor of my dear friend I removed it and will not put it back up again. You all can thank the lady from NC on Ebay!

I emailed this lady and told her she did not have the right to sell this dress and she told me it was not our pattern she wrote it when she was 16yrs old. yea right. so I asked her to show me her pattern and she said "I am not showing you anything" stop harassing me!! it takes all kinds to make up this world. I was just bringing it to her attn that it is a copyrighted pattern and she has no right to sell things from our patterns and that includes Peggys shell sweater pattern as she sold it back in Jan. lol

sorry she has ruined it for others........

  3. I would love to receive a copy of this pattern, i do a lot of charity hats , scarfs etc for hospitals in our area, I would even promise not to give the pattern to any one, if you would be so kind to share the pattern I would greatly appreciate my e mail is sab876@gmail.com As far as i am concerned I am very upset that this lady did such a lowly thing there are plenty of sites where she could find free patterns that allow this sort of thing.
    thanks

  4. well today is SEPT 10, 2011 and the same lady from NC is selling a sweater on EBAY made from Peggys shell sweater pattern. What part of DO NOT SELL items from her pattern do you not understand??? makes me wanna remove all our patterns since people show no respect on copyrighted patterns. I removed them all from public view once and I can do it again. the patterns are for charity puirposes ONLY not money making. ugh!!!!!

  5. That's sickening. All my patterns are self taught and it would tear me to pieces if someone I shared them with sold them. Its simply not right. They need to get creative and make there own. Its also why I don't share patterns I personally make for my baby.

  6. I have gone to RedHeart and LionBrand and asked permission from them to reproduce their old old one sized patterns and they gave me permission to do so, I only offer them free because of the creative commons licences and as to their rules to others, I have seen on Etsy, Ebay, Ravelry and numerous other sites including Annies that MY reproductions were being sold, yes it is very sickening for me to have had it done to me, as well as the companies that entrusted me to do the modifications, when I learned of the infringements I contacted the companies and they had them taken down, unfortunately, not soon enough...

  7. I am flabbergasted by this woman's attitude, i appreciate every pattern you post because i do charity work and every pattern and finished article means so much to the charities i knit and crochet for,i can never thank you enough and for someone to do that to a wonderful person like you is just awful!

  8. This makes me so angry. What a selfish money hungry person she was. Thank you from all of us like me who do this for a hospital without charge only wanting to help the broken hearted.
